Lying just off the coast of Pompano Beach is a natural three tiered reef system teeming with sealife starting in just 20 feet of water. Dive sites are plentiful and close by with easy access from Hillsboro Inlet, the channel that connects our intracoastal waterway to the Atlantic Ocean.

Pompano Beach a top spot for snorkeling because the reefs are in shallow water and are close to shore. It's easy and fun to grab a mask, snorkel & fins and snorkel right from the beach to see for yourself. You can also choose to go offshore with one of the dive operators that also accommodate snorkelers on their boats.
There is good fishing in the Atlantic coastal waters off Pompano Beach. We are home to fishing fleets located at the Sands Harbor Marina or the Hillsboro Inlet Fishing Fleet. You can charter a boat for a half day or full day fishing charter. Hillsboro Inlet Fishing Fleet
If you prefer fishing from terra firma, you can fish at the Pompano Beach Fishing Pier located just north of Atlantic Boulevard and the ocean or from the Hillsboro Inlet Park located at A1A and the inlet.

The Pompano Beach Tennis Center is considered to be one of the best municipal facilities in the country, according to the United State Tennis Association. Located in the Pompano Beach Community Park on the southwest corner of NE 10th Street & US 1 (Federal Highway), this facility includes 16 professional fast dry clay courts for day or night play. The facility includes a fully-equipped pro shop with ball machine rental, snack bar and restrooms. Staffed by USPTA Professional, Eddie Sposa, a wide variety of private and group lessons for all levels of play are offered by he and his staff. Other public courts are located at: Norwood Pines Park, McNab Park, Mitchell/Moore Park and Founders Park.
Pompano Beach participates in the Broward B Cycle program, hosting 4 stations within the city for public bicycle rentals. These bicycles are always free for rides under 30 minutes, with reasonable pricing for longer rides. Try it out - it's great fun.

For a great ride, pick up a bike at the Pompano Beach Aquatic Center - cross the street to join a 4.3 mile paved trail the encircles the Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Course, the Pompano Beach Air Park, The Goodyear Blimp base (home to the Spirit of Innovation) and passing by Pompano Beach Citi Centre and Canine Corner dog park.

Pompano Community Park - at the corner of NE 10th and US 1, this park is home to the Pompano Beach Aquatic Center, Pompano Beach Tennis Center, the Pompano Beach Amphitheater, a 1 mile walking/jogging course, playground, baseball and soccer fields.
